What is Kinky Spigot?

“We were really excited to have Kinky Spigot and The Welders as our wedding band but could not have expected the INSANELY FUN atmosphere that they provided for our reception. Every single guest was on the dance floor and did not want to leave. My wife and I have four more weddings to go to this year (all parties of which attended our wedding) and Kinky Spigot will, without a doubt, make our celebration hard to beat. Thank you for your help in learning our beloved Bob Marley wedding song and for playing it to perfection. If you are considering Kinky Spigot stop looking elsewhere. A+ all around!”

-Tom and Liz Giordano, married April 2012

“There is no question that Kinky Spigot and The Welders is the most exceptional wedding band out there. They brought with them professionalism, raw talent, soulfulness and funk, positive energy, and such an incredible Motown sound. My husband and I continue to get compliments months after the wedding “Your band was amazing!” The complete antithesis of a cookie-cutter wedding experience, if music is incredibly important to you, and you want something different and fun, something that will stay in your guests’ memories and your hearts for a long time to come, don’t think twice about going with anyone else. We wanted to dance and groove with our guests the entire reception and that’s exactly what we did. We were pretty specific in the music style and the atmosphere that we wanted to have for the evening, and Kinky Spigot and the Welders hit everything spot on. We’ll not be able to thank them enough for making our wedding perfect and for giving us the soundtrack of a lifetime.”

- Aine Abruscati, married November 2011

“After our wedding, the feedback kept coming in. All our guests could not stop talking about the band. KSW’s pumping horn section makes the band more alive than anything, and the three female vocalists … I just can’t say enough about their professional skills. They played the songs learned for our wedding perfectly! I remember our first dance to “Midnight Train to Georgia” and I swear Gladys Knight and the Pips were playing right there for us. There were many parts of the eve where I had similar feelings to those of being at the best concert ever, even our parents’ friends said that was the best wedding they had ever been to, thanks to the band. Not only did everyone have the time of their lives, but one couple-friend of ours booked the bandalmost on the spot for their wedding two months henceforth (so long DJ, this is worth the extra cash). Couples who were not in the midst of the steamy-sweaty boogie floor were found in the back of the floor jumping up and down like school kids on a trampoline.”

- Josh Weistuch, married July 2011

“We just wanted thank you guys for KILLING IT at our wedding and ensuring that we had what will certainly prove to be one of the best parties of our lives. You guys were relaxed (which was important considering we had no idea how anything would really work out), kind, and most importantly….. you rocked. Everyone, from our friends to our aunts, uncles and parents were raving about you guys. We can’t thank you guys enough for the show.”

- Timothy Pingree, married June 2011.

“Kinky Spigot was absolutely perfect, and we could not have asked for better combination of professionalism and fun. They were totally flexible—playing an acoustic cocktail set at the beginning of the evening, and then after dinner they managed to get even the most conservative partygoers out on the dance floor having a blast. Simply put, they made our event.  Period.”

- Katy Reid, corporate event May 2011

The wedding band can make or break the wedding. As a paranoid bride, I knew the music was key for my wedding, especially since mine was a New Year’s Eve wedding and had to be a good party. Kinky Spigot and The Welders, without question, made my wedding. They were unbelieveable. They played all the perfect songs and got every single person dancing, from the stodgiest old grandpa to the shyest of girls. All I heard all night was “Sara, your band! Oh. My. God!” and “Sara, this band is f****** awesome” and “Sara, where on earth did you find this band?!” Not only are they mind-bogglingly good at what they do from the horns to the female trio (when they play Michael Jackson, it’s for real, people go nuts), but they also listen. They know how important the music for an event can be, especially a wedding, and they want nothing more than to please. Hire Kinky Spigot and the Welders. They can do anything. They are crazy talented. They will be the party. Trust.”

- Sarah Reid, married December 31, 2010

“Kinky Spigot and the Welders was the highlight of our reception celebration and worth every penny!  They worked with our budget and also with our diverse musical needs. The band was energetic and incredibly talented, and even learned a bachata song in Spanish for us. The DJ was professional and creative and played a variety of music to engage all our guests.  The result was a seamless blend of incredible live music and DJ’ing that had us partying all night long!”

- Shreya Malena-Sannon, married June 26, 2010

“Kinky Spigot and the Welders was a major part of my wonderful wedding celebration party. All my guests had a great time and are raving about the party and especially the band. My father had such a blast sitting in with you that we are calling him Bob the Welder!”

- Robert Woods, married October 3, 2009.
